Since 1969 – A Legacy of Authentic Taste

Established in Chidambaram in 1969 by  Founder, Late Shri N.S. Lakshminarayana Bhat, the restaurant has been serving traditional South Indian dishes for decades. In 1978, his son, Late Shri N.L. Subramanya Bhat  brought in his experience from Coimbatore.

Over the next few decades, the restaurant earned a reputation for its Tamil Nadu-style cuisine, attracting customers, especially temple visitors & Locals alike. Some of the restaurant’s special dishes include Dahi Vada, Idli Gothsu, Badam Halwa, Cashew Halwa, Masala Vada, Tavala Vada, Pakoda, and Kadamba Bajji, all rooted in South Indian flavors and tradition.

Food- Taste wise good (Tamil Nadu style). Except watery and taste less Sambar other items are good taste. Sambar does not go well with this style of idly which tends to be bit pulpy and not like the other regular restaurants using rava in idly.Service- Even though have more staff and have friendly demeanor due to language gaps takes time to get requirements understoodHygiene- Needs lot of improvement. Even though informed the owner about staff carelessly mopping staircase which is right above the seating area and all the dirt falling on the seats he did not bother to even educate the staff to be careful. Attitude to Hygiene is not greatTHIS PLACE CAN BE REALLY GOOD IF THEY CAN IMPROVE THEIR ATTITUDE AND MAKE MINOR CORRECTIONS IN FOOD, HYGIENE AND COORDINATIONIncreasing one star due to positive attitude of the owners

It’s an amazing place to enjoy authentic South Indian flavors! I visited Udupi Sri Krishna Vilas for breakfast, and they absolutely deserve five stars. The seating area was clean, the kitchen was visibly hygienic, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The food quality was excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend trying their filter coffee—it's the perfect start to your day! Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent food. Lovely to see Tamil style dosa and Sambhar in this area. The portions are big, price is value and the place is clean and fresh.They have a sit down area on the first floor and darshini style on the ground floor. Service is good but they are still learning so they get them to repeat your orders before confirming.

Authentic Udupi food , delicious taste, good quality and quantity with great pricing !! Would recomend to try parota kurma and idli Gostu(which is a special dish)

Wow, what a taste. We had Coffee, Pongal, Medu Vada, Badam Halwa, Tomato Thokku Dosa and Poori. Tomato dosa Was little sour, kilangu which they gave for Poori was little bland. All other foods are great. They also had carrot halwa, Kasi halwa and some other sweets, but did not try.

It's an antique bramin pure vegetarian restaurant in chidambaram, sambar rice is not good but rest of all curd rice and tamarind is tasty .

Meals was good... Taste like home food..., more over its a budget hotel with good and tastey food , you will be getting here.. Location wise it's a located in center of the city... You can't park your 4 wheelers coz they don't have parking spaces for 4 Wheeler's... Toilets should be taken care, it's not maintained properly... Serving the food needs to be improved... Over all its good for veg lovers....
